Ameina is a proud Marramanindji woman from the western Daly River region and mother of four children.
She is passionate about collaboration and advocacy to create solutions across the health system that better reflect the needs of communities and better support culturally safe and holistic service delivery.

Ameina sees her role as SEWB Policy Coordinator for the Joint Regional Planning for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention as a being conduit of knowledge between AMSANT’s member services and the Joint Regional Planning process. She has previously worked in the areas of governance, policy, project management, community development and health promotion in her 19 years of working in the Aboriginal affairs space in the Northern Territory.
