I am hoping to bring to the SEWB team another diverse voice, lived experience and knowledge around advocacy, sharing and communicating ways to improve the impact of trauma for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples.
I have lived over 40years in the NT and am a descendant of WA ‘Stolen Generation’, my mother is of Papuan and Torres Strait Island heritage, I have 4 children and 6 grandchildren.
I have experience in most support sectors here in the NT around DFV and AOD Rehabilitation, and am an accredited Family Dispute Resolution, but am most proud of my work with Relationships Australia as ‘Healing our Children’ Program Coordinator this has brought a stronger connection to what I crave most in learning cultural healing ways from strong women in communities.
