I was born in Alice Springs in November 1980, so yes I’m a Scorpio and a Monkey for all the mob who follow the stars. Both my grandfather and grandmother were stolen generation, my grandfather was taken from Tempi downs near Uluru (Yankunytjatjara People) my grandmother from Ti Tree. I am an Anungu Man and participate in my cultural law which is very important to me. I have a 12-year-old daughter who I love dearly and am very proud of. I love fishing and yes I have signed up for the million $ barra. I also love my Rugby League and sorry all you QLD supporters I bleed Blue! Great game last night.

I changed my career path in 2016 and moved into the health setting from the construction industry. For most of my working life I was a stonemason and had hoped to bring the skills and knowledge I gained back to my community and teach all my people how to be builders. It took me about a minute to realise that without good health both physical and mental my people were not going to be able to achieve the tasks I had put before them. So I knew then that if I wanted to help my people become successful in any industry I had to take a different approach. And that’s when I applied for a traineeship in Primary Health care with CAAC. I have spent the last 4 years gaining as much skill and knowledge in all aspects of health to be able to help my people work towards a brighter and stronger future. The last 1 ½ years I worked for SA health as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner in Port Adelaide and now hope to bring all the knowledge I have gained back to the NT.
