Governance

AMSANT is incorporated under the Office of the Registrar of Indigenous Corporations (ORIC) Act.  As the peak body for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services (ACCHSs) in the Northern Territory, AMSANT’s governance is controlled by our Members who elect Board Directors at an Annual General Meeting.  Only Full Members are entitled to vote at General Meetings or nominate for election as a Director.  Directors appoint the Chief Executive Officer to manage AMSANT’s operations and secretariat.

Board

Our current Board is comprised of eight Directors elected from Full Members of AMSANT, and two non-Member Directors appointed by the Full Member Directors.  Directors are elected for a two-year term.
